How to set the DNS on a Vodafone Hub

Important: This guide is for the Vodafone Hub. If you have a Vodafone Station (aka WiFi 6 Station), changing DNS yourself is not possible and you will need to contact Vodafone for them do it remotely.

Step 1:

Enter http://192.168.1.1/ into your browser whilst you are connected to your Vodafone Home Broadband. The default password is Vodafone unless you have changed this.

Step 2:

  • Switch to "Expert Mode" (in the top right)
  • Select the "Internet" tab
  • Select "DNS & DDNS" from the menu on the left side

Step 3:

Next to "DNS Configuration" select "Manually"

Step 4:

Enter the DNS in the two fields in the picture above.

  • Domain Name Server(DNS) Address - 15.197.238.60
  • Secondary DNS Address (optional) - 3.33.242.199

Some Vodafone routers may require you to enter IPv6 DNS addresses. If IPv6 DNS is mandatory to continue please add the following. If not, leave it blank.

  • For Primary enter ::1
  • For Secondary leave empty

Step 5:

Change the DNS settings you set before on your gaming device (PS, Xbox, PC) back to automatic.

Step 6:

Power cycle both the router AND your gaming device to eliminate any leftover cache:

  • Unplug them from wall power
  • Wait the full 20-30 seconds
  • Power back on
